Climate
West Point enjoys moderate winters where almost year round activity can be enjoyed outdoors.

Industrial Proximity
West Point is centrally located in the burgeoning aerospace and automotive industrial corridor of northeast Mississippi. SeverCorr steel, American Eurocopter, Stark Aerospace, Aurora Flight Sciences, and Paccar are all located 20 minutes south of West Point. International Military and Government, a division of International Truck, is located in West Point. And the new Toyota plant under construction in Blue Springs, MS, is only 50 minutes north. All are connected by four lane highways.

Higher Education
Mississippi State University, well known for its nationally ranked Bagley College of Engineering is within a 20-minute drive of West Point. The Bagley College’s Aerospace Engineering department, Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems, and Sim Center are renowned for their research capabilities and outreach to local industry.

Military
Columbus Air Force Base is 20 minutes east of West Point and enjoys an excellent relationship with the community.
